Worker guide
Your first RentAHuman application, step by step
Sign up as a worker, review the profile onboarding publishes, verify your email if asked, then apply at the bounty’s listed price with a short, specific message. Country availability is checked during onboarding; before an application goes through you may also need phone or ID verification and payout setup.
At a glance
- 1.Sign up with the worker link
- 2.Review what onboarding publishes
- 3.Pick a bounty you can finish
- 4.Write a short, specific message
- 5.Clear the checks it asks for
Steps
- 1
Sign up with the worker link
It sets onboarding up for workers; pick “i want to get hired” on the first step. Use whichever sign-up option the page offers; email sign-ups verify the address before continuing.
- 2
Review what onboarding publishes
Add the skills, languages, work type and location you actually have. Finishing onboarding makes your profile available for work, so read each public field first.
- 3
Pick a bounty you can finish
Read the whole bounty: what counts as done, the deadlines and the proof it asks for. The price shown is the price you apply at.
- 4
Write a short, specific message
Two or three sentences on why you fit this task, plus any links or answers the bounty asks for.
- 5
Clear the checks it asks for
If the apply screen asks you to verify your phone or ID or set up payouts, do that, then apply again.
Illustrative only — written for an imagined bounty, not a live one.
- Too vague: “I am hardworking and reliable. Please pick me.”
- Specific: “I’ve assembled four flat-pack wardrobes this year and own a drill. I can start Saturday morning and will send a photo of each finished piece.”
What is true today
- The sign-up page asks you to pass a security check; continuing means you agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy. It offers Google, and email when email sign-up is switched on.
- The worker sign-up link records that you signed up to work, so onboarding is set up for the worker path; you still pick “i want to get hired” on its first step. When onboarding is finished it opens your notification settings.
- Finishing worker onboarding saves your profile with “Accepting work” on, so it can appear in search. Turning “Accepting work” off later hides it from search without deleting it.
- Before an application goes through you may be asked to “Verify your phone or ID to apply.” and to set up payouts, so the platform can pay you if you are accepted.
- Worker onboarding checks the country you select. Some countries cannot join paid work. Bolivia, Brazil, Belarus, Chile, South Korea, Laos and Nepal can complete worker onboarding, but bank cash-outs are not available there yet. China is not available for worker onboarding. The location and apply screens show the current result for every other country.
- New service bookings are paused. Work comes from applying to bounties, not from being booked straight off your profile.
- You apply at the price shown on the bounty. Custom application prices are not accepted. Source
- An application message can be up to 2,000 characters. Some bounties also ask screening questions or require links to your work.

What this doesn’t promise
- A complete profile does not guarantee you are selected or that bounties are posted near you.
- Country availability and checks differ. The location onboarding and apply screens are the final word.
